Think Safety
In case of fire, the grid lets heat through to activate the sprinkler located above the head fire. A deck-type shelf without any opening can allow the flames to spread horizontally and this in turn could activate de wrong sprinkler and cause damages in places where there is no fire. Grid openings representing more than 50% of the surface let water through without impeding the action of sprinklers.
